Bid were invited to secure definite contracts to supply cover crops, arable reversion and watercourse fencing.  Bidding opened on 14 February and closed on Weds 9 March 2022 at 23:59.

Payment rates that settled were:

* Cover Crops, £100/HA
* Arable Reversion, £600/Ha per year
* Fencing, £8.19/ metre

This event collected  "Option to supply prices" from land managers who were willing to establish  cover crops, arable reversion and watercourse fencing in the Parrett catchment. The options were collated and will be taken forward as bids into the first full Market Round. If these bids are successful the minimum prices offered will at least match the options to supply price.

How To Participate

This event was for farmers wishing to provide fixed-term projects that mitigate Phosphorus releases. It ran from noon on 27 July until noon on 16 August.  Cover crop prices settled at £75/Ha, Arable Reversion at £340/Ha

CM4a: Arable reversion (including new or wider buffer strips) to zero-input grassland

CM4b: Arable reversion to low / medium input grassland

CM 7a: Cover crops following combinable crops

CM 7b: Cover crops following maize and other late-harvested crops

This event is planned for July 2022. It will allow developers to bid for short-term and permanent Phosphorus mitigation credits, and farmers to offer prices for supply of permanent wetland and woodland projects.

Following the success of the first round of bids for fixed-term projects, we offered to fund further arable reversion and cover crops (after maize) projects. The round ran until Friday 17th September. Cover crop prices settled at £75/Ha, Arable Reversion at £340/Ha
